Seeds germinate when there is covering of dirt on the seed which is basically the process of seeds developing into a new plants, the environmental condition must be triggered by the seeds to grow, which is determined by how much deep the seeds are planted, water availability and temperature.
When the water on seeds is plentiful, this process is called imbibitions, as the water has the capability to activates the special protein from plants called enzymes, that begin the process of seed germination.

Firstly the seed will grow a root to access water underground; next the shoots will started showing above ground begin to appear, the seeds will then sends its shoot towards its surface, where the leaves will grow to harvest the energy from the sunlight, the leaves then continue to grow towards the light source, this process is called parthenogenesis.
