With the onset of monsoon, we always see some uninvited guests at home. These are the illness causing filthy mosquitoes. Along with them we also see some insects that may cause allergies and illness.
Here are some plants that will naturally keep mosquitoes and harm causing insects at bay. These can be planted either by buying plants or seeds.
Basil:

Basils naturally repel mosquitoes. Plant these in your garden and you can see fewer mosquitoes at home! Basil belongs to the family of powerful, pungent herbs that are perfect to keep insects away.

Rosemary:

Farmers prefer to plant rosemary in their fields to keep the bugs away from their crops. This herb has a woody fragrance that acts as a natural repellent to those unwanted bugs. Its powerful properties will help keep the insects away for a considerable amount of time.

Peppermint:

This is a hybrid of water mint and spearmint. Not only will it enhance your garden, but will also keep those nasty insects away due to its strong scent.

Lemon Grass:

Mosquitoes do not take the smell of lemon grass very well. They naturally stay away from this kind of grass due to it smell. Lemon grass does not require much maintenance. It contains citronella, which is a base used in many mosquito repellents.
